A pale white smoke is pulled from the mouths of Cailin and Zoey in their sleep. Cut to blackness.
Cailin is standing in front of a mirror. Camera over her shoulder.
Cailin: Time to start the day!
No sound leaves her mouth.
Cailin: Silent scream
Zoey is standing in front of a mirror. Camera over her shoulder.
Zoey: Good morning world!
No sound leaves her mouth.
Zoey: Silent scream
Zoey turns on computer. Types up a message. Prints it. A white fog leaves the computer as it prints. Shows it to mom. It says:
Zoey: My voice is gone.
Janine: Zoey you probably just have a sore throat. It will be fine.
Zoey: Writes. It’s really gone. Totally gone. Forever.
Janine: Just try and say something. You’re fine!
Zoey: Hi Mom.
Silence
Janine: I’ll call the doctor.
Cailin attempts to type something on the computer. And nothing appears. She grabs a pencil, and she writes a message to her parents.
Cailin: I can’t speak. I can’t even type on the computer.
Ben: The doctors on his way.
Cailin: How did you know?
Ben: Zoey’s parents called. The same thing happened to her.
